This Privacy Policy explains how Green Platform Solutions ("Green Platform," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit grnplatform.ca (the "Site") or contact us about our services.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us
Our contact options open your own email client, so when you get in touch we receive the information you choose to send us, which typically includes:
- Your name and email address
- Your company or organisation, where you provide it
- The contents of your message and any details you include about your project or enquiry
- Any further correspondence you have with us
2.2 Information we collect automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect:
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, and operating system
- Usage data such as the pages you view, referring pages, links you click, and the date, time and duration of your visit
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (city/country level, not precise geolocation)
- Cookie and similar identifiers, as described in Section 4
We do not knowingly collect special category / sensitive personal information through this Site, and we ask that you do not send it to us via the contact options.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the information or services you request
- Communicate with you about a potential or existing engagement
- Operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site
- Understand how the Site is used through aggregated analytics
- Protect against, investigate and deter fraudulent, unauthorised or unlawful activity
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and enforce our terms
3.1 Legal bases for processing (UK / EEA visitors)
Where the UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for non-essential analytics cookies and any optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, keep the Site secure, and understand and improve how it is used, balanced against your rights.
- Performance of a contract / steps prior to a contract — to discuss and provide services you request.
- Legal obligation — where we must process information to comply with the law.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site and to understand how it is used. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies — necessary for the Site to function and to remember basic preferences.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager) — help us measure traffic and usage across our regional sites. These may set cookies and process your IP address and usage data on Google's infrastructure.
- Privacy-focused analytics (Rybbit) — a lightweight, cookieless analytics tool we self-host to measure aggregate usage without tracking you across sites.
Managing cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site work. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies (for example in the UK and EEA), we will only use them on the basis described in Section 3.1.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site and our business — including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Amazon Web Services), analytics providers (Google), and email and communication providers — under contracts that require them to protect your information.
- Other Green Platform Solutions group entities, where necessary to respond to your enquiry or provide services in your region.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities or other parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Green Platform, our users, or others.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. International Data Transfers
Green Platform Solutions operates in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, and some of our service providers (including hosting and analytics) are located in the United States. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, whose data protection laws may differ. Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You may contact us for more information about these safeguards.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, to manage an engagement, and to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations. Enquiry correspondence is generally retained for the duration of our discussions and for a reasonable period afterwards; analytics data is retained in line with our analytics providers' settings. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable hosting infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Restriction / objection — ask us to restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability — request a copy of certain information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time (without affecting prior processing)
- Non-discrimination — not be treated unfairly for exercising your rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@grnplatform.ca. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. Exercising your rights is free of charge in most cases.
If you have a concern we have not resolved, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) (www.priv.gc.ca). We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please consider contacting us before you do.
10. Electronic Communications (Canada)
Where we send commercial electronic messages, we do so in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will only send you such messages with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, and every message will include a way to unsubscribe.
